workers and people from the energy department because the long island public authority has failed miserably. they are not doing their job or communicating with the people. i hope to set up a federal intra structure led by the army corps of engineers that would have a comprehensive plan which they would be required to follow. it's an absolute disgrace. we're now two weeks into the storm, and there's still over 100,000 people without power, and with no real estimate as to when they're going to get back, getting misleading information, getting distorted information. just yesterday they told people they needed contractor's approval. they said that wasn't enough. it really has reached crisis proportions of a public health dimension in suffolk county, on the south shore in particular, and lipa is absolutely act says disgracefully, and that's why i'm asking the president whatever assistance he can give, not just for personnel, but farce trying to come up with a comprehensive plan that will knock l.i.s.a. into shape. >> congressman peter king, we wish you well. certainly all the people of

%, with tsunami regulations and an attack on energy, they now announced they want an energy tax, something they didn't announce during the campaign. so there's a whole series of damaging things. the market sees this is not exactly a healthy plan for the economy. of course you have a lousy growth rate as long as you have democrats threatening to throw out tax increases on the economy in addition to the regulatory burden, you've got french rates of economic growth. >> let's say we let the bush tax cuts expire at the end of the year, and then congress moved to increase tax rates. would that count? would that violate your pledge? >> that would clearly be -- look, you can't go to the american people and say, we raised taxes 500 billion and then we cut it 400 billion, please only look at the cut, not the overall rate. if you raise taxes $100 billion on the american people, they're going to notice it. it doesn't pass the laugh test. >> grover, thanks for being with us again. >> you got it. >> despite the grover norquist pledge, the talks in congress does sound vaguely promising. >> let's rise abo

the internals of the market, i'm talking about banks, insurers, cole companies, energy companies, they fell because, in fact, they think they're going to have higher costs. the markets think they're going to have higher costs in a second obama administration. you saw some obama care related stocks like hospitals up on the assumption that obama care is now secure. the internals showed us how investors in different sectors were reacting to a second obama presidency. but there were also concerns over europe and the fiscal cliff and the fact that now you have this election out of the way, you still have the very big problems still facing us. debt crisis, markets started to turn yesterday when mario drogy made some comments about concerns about germany. so this wasn't just a u.s. story overall. you put these things altogether and it all ended up at 313 point decline for the dow. also concerns about the debt ceiling. we're coming up again on the debt ceiling. remember the debt ceiling is what got us into this fiscal cliff mess in the first place. there will be a fight over how to raise the debt k
